Here's the fix.

<http://www.perfdynamics.com/Papers/viewmath.html> is rendered correctly 
in any browser as long as it adheres to the w3c spec. Safari does. The 
key to correct rendering in Safari and any standard browser is to emit 
the HTML using *unicode* instead of symbol fonts i.e., apply the -u 
switch in the TtH options:

tth_options = "-e2 -L -u"


OzTtH users should note this if they want math symbols rendered as 
originally intended by TtH. I didn't find words to this effect on 
Hutchinson's web site (but might have missed them).
