I suppose that, in your true metapost source, there is :
\documentclass [microtype]{gtpart}

and not

\documentclass [microtype]{article}

I've downloaded your gtpart.cls and reproduced your problem.

If you comment the line 372 of gtpart.cls (\hoffset -4mm), the problem 
disappears.
