[metapost] Does MetaPost catch on?

if you want to bring typesetting into mp then you need a full blown one 
and you end up with something like tex (after all, you want to typeset 
formulas, use modern fonts, use color, do proper hyphenation) and of 
course you then end up with different users wanting a different 
typesetting engine

given the relative small size of mp it then makes more sense to bring mp 
into a typesetter and that already happened and it works quite well
