I am hesitant to file a bug report because I already have so much
other stuff to do, but attached is a handwritten EPS that shows
the bug. It even gives some insight into the cause: it seems that
ghostscript applies the pen *after* digitizing the path.
You can increase|decrease the quality of the view by altering the
'setflat' value. The "chunkyness" of path itself is on purpose,
but the non-horizontal endings and the serrated top edges that
sometimes appears are both wrong.
For those of you without ghostscript, I have also attached a
screenshot (gv runs ghostscript 8.15.3, so the bug is not as new
as all that).
Best wishes,
Taco
