[metapost] how to use mpfile.1, mpfile.2 or other in latex file

Dear colleague,
even if I never have used dvipdf, one is perhaps clear:
dvipdf works on dvi (dvi-->pdf), so you should use
dvipdf temp.dvi (and not temp.tex).
I hope this is the reason.
