[metapost] Umlaute with Metapost

The problem could be solved by a with  tiny code:
prologues:=0;

The author of latexmp told me that this might solve the problem, and it did.
I did not understand the reason, but it has something to do with fonts in eps.

So neither was Metapost, nor LaTeX or my code really wrong, it was just a 
wrong setting in latexmp.mp
