Hi:

The command \hbar can be defined as:
\def\hbar{{\mathchar'26\mkern-9muh}}

You can just do the same thing, replacing h by \lambda, e.g.,
\def\lbar{\mathchar'26\mkern-9mu\lambda}

(You may want to tweak the number after \mkern, to adjust the
horizontal alignment of the bar to your liking.)
