Howdy,

I'd guess that AucTeX (built into Aquamacs) is using full paths. You may need to run postinstall2022.sh if you every want to use the Command Line. It basically sets up a structure that allows easy use of the System and allows TeX Live Utility to change the active TeX Distribution.
