[OS X TeX] Chinese (?) characters with .STY "Kind"

In macOS Catalina (10.15.4) Finder, the Kind column lists all LaTeX-related .sty files as “.STY” followed by two Chinese (?) characters.

Here’s a screenshot, although I’m not sure this will be allowed through the mailing list filters:



So far as I recall, this did not happen before I updated to MacTeX 2020.

How to fix this?
