[OS X TeX] MacTeX-2018

Howdy,

I've checked the active repositories in the US and all seem to be up to date with MacTeX-2018. I would appreciate if others looked at other repositories around the world. Go to <http://www.tug.org/mactex/mirrorpage.html> for more information.

I would like to thank Dick Koch for the hard work he's put into compiling TeX Live 2018 for macOS 10.10 and later as well Ghostscript 9.23 and assembling everything that goes into the MacTeX package. Kudos should also go to all the contributors for putting together TeX Live 2018 and all the testing too.

After installing MacTeX-2018/TeX Live 2018 make sure you run TeX Live Utility since there have been many updates to TeX Live 2018 during the time period it was initially frozen for testing and the actual release.

If you are using a OS version earlier than macOS 10.10 you can go to <http://www.tug.org/mactex/alternateinstall.html> for information on installing TeX Live 2018 directly as compiled by Mojca Miklavec. Not as easy as installing MacTeX but available.

I haven't seen much talk about problems installing MacTeX-2018 so I'll assume that there haven't been any problems that require attention! :-) I know there are other possible reasons but never the less...
