[OS X TeX] TexShop hanging

In 3.83 an old problem has re-appeared. When it gives me an error during compilation (pdflatex), TeXShop hangs and I have to force quit and then delete all the auxiliary files before it will work again. I thought this was resolved and I don't recall having it in the previous two versions.
