Folks,

The pretest has begun for TeX Live 2017, and both mactex-2017.pkg and
mactex-basictex-2017.pkg are available on pretest servers. Installation does
not overwrite your regular TeX distribution. See

	https://www.tug.org/texlive/pretest.html <https://www.tug.org/texlive/pretest.html>

Once MacTeX or BasicTeX is installed, it can be updated from the tlpretest servers
by TeX Live Utility.

In 2017 we begin a new policy of supporting versions of macOS for which
Apple still provides security updates. Thus the above packages require
Yosemite, El Capitan, or Sierra.

TeX Live 2017 also has legacy binaries for older versions of macOS compiled by
Mojca Miklavec.
