Same here, but on the other hand Mail (in which the link was clicked, leading to its opening in Safari) froze (spinning wheel forever) and I had to force-quit it.

Plus, after that Preview couldn't view files (any PDF) at acceptable resolution, it showed low-res previews which never updated and I had to restart the Mac.
