[OS X TeX] TeXShop Sierra PDF images problem - solved

FWIW, png files, with or without alpha channel, are working fine here.
Did a few tests running pdflatex and xelatex without issue.
While it is great that you found a workaround for your problem, I believe that this may be specific to your system, and not a widespread bug.
Is anyone else seing this problem?
