[OS X TeX] TeXShop: how get console contents in text file?

Howdy,

A couple of things are going on...

If you use the pdflatexmk engine the Console output is a combination of the output from pdflatex (possible multiple runs), the output from other apps (biblatex, makeindex, etc.) that are run by latexmk as well as output produced by latexmk itself.

If you are just looking at the pdflatex output it will not contain all the detailed information that is in the .log file so there is more information in the .log file than in the Colsole output.

You can Copy/Paste the information in the Console window into a document. To Copy the information in the Console window you must first Abort the processing if there is a problem. Then Click in the Console pane of the window to select it (the default is the input pane). Then Select All (Cmd-A) or choose a partial selection in one of the the usual ways and Copy (Cmd-C).
