I don't know about "support" but, even though my own PPC died last year, it seems to me that there should be a place where old, frozen software might remain available ad vitam aeternam. About a year ago, someone trying to recompile 10 year old books could not until he was able to locate some of the old packages. Myself, I am indebted to someone on this list who sent me texlive 2013 a few months ago.
