Hi, Herb (and everyone else).

I was tied up with end of semester grading and other stuff, but I have now gotten drag and drop to work! This is going to speed up my workflow significantly, thanks!

I use Command (the cloverleaf key) -click ( mousepad on this laptop), being careful to select from the LaTeXiT contextual pop-up menu PDF w.o.f. (with outlined fonts), and it works. Editable and everything, no frame. Very nice.

Thanks to all for their suggestions, and sorry to have been so incompetent.
