That does work too. In Full Screen Mode you still have to move the Mouse Pointer to the top of the screen to use the green traffic light. Pressing Esc will also quite Full Screen Mode; at least of the Preview Window.

By the way, holding down the Option key when pressing the green light button makes it behave like it used to in older versions of OS X.
