If I type in a word that appears multiple times in the PDF file in the search drawer on the left, it doesn’t find a single instance of that word, so it appears to be either broken or disabled. If it is disabled, then I am thinking it should be removed since it doesn’t work.

Howdy,

Dick said he disabled the Find in the sidebar because of problems with the Sierra beta. That may only be a temporary thing since that may be fixed by the time of release.

I think the whole search in the Preview window will eventually change to the toolbar version, with the proper commands (Cmd-F, Cmd-G, etc.), but that will take some time.

The problem is, when you get to the end of the document, it doesn’t wrap around and start at the beginning which is the behavior that I would expect.

Nope, that's the way things work at this time.

I always found the Preview search a bit unsatisfying to use. I wish the OgreKit Find could work in the Preview window but I'm pretty sure it's very closely tied to only searching in text windows.

Good Luck,
