[OS X TeX] Where to put .sty .map .fd files?

Not sure what you are asking but you might want to look at the file architecture I am using: 


For instance, for a chapter, the control file would be:

%ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssBegin PREAMBLE
% sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss End PREAMBLE
% sssssssssssss Begin ADJUSTMENTS to DOCUMENT
% sssssssssssssss End ADJUSTMENTS to DOCUMENT

while the control file for a quiz would start with:

% Begin Preamble $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
% End Preamble $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
