[OS X TeX] TexShop not syntax coloring some .tex files

The method of opening the files makes no difference at all for the syntax colouring.

Another way  of getting the syntax the colouring to show is to resize the window.
I tried this following the replies by Richard Seguin and Josep Maria Font.
So now I have three ways to get the colouring to show.

BTW: I’m doing all of this on OS X Mavericks on a Macbook Air 11.6 inch.
