[OS X TeX] TexShop not syntax coloring some .tex files

Howdy,

Sorry if I seem as though I'm pressing but I'd love to tighten the conditions when this occurs. Are you always Double Clicking the files to open them? Is it always the same files that DO have syntax coloring when you open them? Is TeXShop already running when you open the files? 

Again, I'm running Yosemite so this is all to help anyone else using Mavericks duplicate the problem. PS: Are folks using TeXShop under Mavericks seeing this problem? From comments made on this list there must be a bunch of folks out there still using Mavericks.
