[OS X TeX] Extending the file open dialog to support arbitrary URLs

Came across the command for converting a wikipedia page into a .pdf (using LaTeX):

pandoc -s --latex-engine=xelatex -r html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style/Dates_and_numbers/Archive_142 -o archive_142.pdf

and was struck by how convenient it would be to be able to use TeXshop to open up arbitrary files on the 'net, using pandoc &c. to convert them to latex files

Would this be something to build into TeXshop? If File | Open wouldn't be suitable, could we add a File | Import from URL?
