[OS X TeX] texpower

Dear Herb,
Sorry to bother you but being a trained LaTeX user I have now some difficulty which I did not have before. I decided to download foils to see whether that should work. I copied a complete instruction from

http://www.miwie.org/presentations/presentations.html#seminar

because that looked nice and simple. I put it into the Tex Folder in Application, clicked the .ins and ended up with a lot of files. As usual. Then I typeset the copy from internet in Texshop but this
didn’t reccognize foils.cls so I went to Go to Folder and got into the use/local/texlive folder and put the filter folder into folder 2014, as required. But still typesetting yields:

So evidently there is something wrong because MacTex should recognise foils. I do not expect you to answer to these troubles because it will take too much time to bother about this. But if you have an idea, I would be very grateful.

It went fine, without any technical problem with \pause and \stepwise and with getting the panel at the right spot. Now I need texpower again for a presentation but it doesn’t work neither with nor without pdfscreen.pdf. It does not recognize \pause , etc. and does not given a panel even though I took the old file leaving the preamble the same and inserting the new stuff. I reinstalled MacTex (OS X, 10.9.5), so it should work. But it doesn’t work. Should I update files? But which ones? Pdfscreen without texpower doesn’t work either. It does not accept math tables and figures and it does not do \pause etc. So I am stuck and should return to simple handouts unless some can help help me out.
