Have you asked your printer if the pdf files supplied by (pdf)latex satisfies their needs? The pdf files use type 1 fonts which are completely scalable to any 2400dpi. If your included eps figures are bit maps then the problem will be with your figures rather than the pdf produced by (pdf)latex.
