I'd try bisecting the text. Which means: comment one half; when the error is gone, it must be in the commented half. Now comment the good half and uncomment one half (a quarter of the full text) of the bad half. If the error is back, then it's in the uncommented quarter, otherwise it's in the left commented quarter. Now test the first half of the faulty quarter and so on. Step by step you can narrow down the text body with the fatal statement.
If this does not work, because you always have the error, even when the text body consists of a simple "Hello world", then it must be some STY file and you have to start commenting STY files… with implications like now undefined commands or macros.
