[OS X TeX] "Check for updates" says 2.47 is newest

Manuel,

TeXShop 3.18 requires Lion or higher.

You can install MacTeX-2013 on your system. On Lion or higher, you'll
get TeXShop 3.18; otherwise you'll get TeXShop 2.47.
