Long time lurker...

I am not affiliated with the software in any way.

For my needs the local to iPad compiler has worked very well.

What I have been very impressed with is the real time connection between devices with the software. I can be editing on my iPad and in real time see updates on my osx version of the software and vice versa. According to the website the ability to see prior versions of the files will be added as well as the ability to edit the latex files through the website. Of course it comes with a fee depending on the amount of projects you want to keep in sync.
