I absolutely and totally agree and so I am now attempting to read The
TeXbook, terminal in hand, but I am only on page 23.

But TeX Distribution says I am using TeXLive-2011 (on PPC under 10.5.8)
Dumb regards. (I would rather read mathematics pencil in hand.)
