For me personally, that's a dealbreaker, as is the inability to open multiple panes/windows on the same document so you can edit/browse several locations in your document more or less simultaneously.

A.k.a. forward/reverse searching — the ability to click some point in the LaTeX source and have the PDF previewer jump to the corresponding point in the rendered document and vice versa.

Ah, so you can! And very nicely indeed. Don't know how I missed that. Thanks! (Actually I do know how I missed it — LaTeXian's implementation requires you to highlight something in the source or preview and then hit a hotkey; I was looking for some sort of mouse gesture.)

Very nice. Still, my own style of writing really benefits from the ability actually to *see* different parts of my documents simultaneously, so being able to edit full screen with a vertical split (and perhaps a horizontal split of one or both of those vertical splits) is critical. Emacs and LyX do this superbly. But, obviously, this is a different-strokes-for-different-folks kind of thing. (I suspect the limitation here is not an oversight on the part of the LaTeXian developers but is rather a limitation of the current Apple development kit.)
