You shouldn't give a complete path, just Map=lucida.map. Did you run sudo mktexlsr beforehand? (I use the Lucida fonts in Mactex 2011 without problems.) Another issue you might consider (unrelated to lucida) is to set the download standard fonts to true (false is the installation default) to work around the issue of a faulty version of ZapfCalligraphic provided with gs9.02.
