You don't use the full path to the map file and you do use sudo.

sudo updmap-sys --enable Map=wolfram.map

should do the job. With items in your personal tree (~/Library/texmf) you don't need to run  texhash (or mktexlsr 0 either with or without sudo

I really think you should place the files in the texmf-local tree or you may run into trouble with using TeX Live Utility (rather tlmgr) since for system wide changes it run as though it was being run under `sudo -H` which would look for root's (non-existent) personal tree and not find the map file in your personal tree. The root for the texmf-local tree is at /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local.
