Using

\listfiles
\documentclass[12pt]{article}

\usepackage{pst-pdf}

\usepackage{ifpdf}
\ifpdf
\usepackage{hyperref}
\fi

\begin{document}
Test
\end{document}

1)Processing with latex I get an error but that is because there are no pst-pdf figures so the resulting dvi is empty. I DON'T get the error noted before. With a ``real'' file that contains no graphics the processing goes through just fine.

2)Processing with pdflatex I get no errors and the final pdf is produced. The file list I have is
