What is "it"?

Aquaterm 1.1.0 comes with two architectures

AquaTerm: Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures
AquaTerm (for architecture x86_64):	Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64
AquaTerm (for architecture i386):	Mach-O executable i386

therefore you need intel but not necessarily x64

For pgf/tikz terminal aqua and thus AquaTerm are not needed
