[OS X TeX] Unusual bounding box problem

Peter,

Thank you, your suggestion directed me to do some checking. I use Texshop and the first line of chapter2.tex had this line:

%!TEX TS-program = latex

We had to do things this way because we are using some macros by Donald Story that force us to use dvips->Acrobat Distiller cycle. I had forgotten that.

So, removing that line and using ImageMagick to convert my image file to .eps solved the problem.
