[OS X TeX] Installing Asymptote

I'm trying to do this, following the directions here:

when I run sudo make install I get:

Creating settings.d
Creating asy-keywords.el

dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libreadline.6.1.dylib
  Referenced from: /private/tmp/asymptote-2.04/./asy
  Reason: image not found
/bin/sh: line 1: 58502 Trace/BPT trap          ./asy -dir base -config "" -render=0 -l > asy.list
make: *** [asy-keywords.el] Error 133

Any ideas on how to proceed?
