[OS X TeX] Inserting a few words in "non-latin-character" languages

Not on your life, let alone mine. So, what I did was, as I said  
earlier, to copy the chapter section by section into a fresh file and  
I have, for about three minutes of my life, the equivalent of what a  
$1000 or so apple would have given me. (It takes me a lot more than 3  
minutes to earn $1000).

Still, I would have liked to understand what happened. Oh well!

Here I completely agree with you: I was a total idiot to experiment  
on my working file. As you said, and as Grothendieck told Weil, "[I  
am] slipping"
