Yes, I did that also. Perhaps it is just a problem with the ADF fonts.

The path of adforn.sty is:

robh-mbp:~ robh$ kpsewhich adforn.sty
/usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/tex/latex/adforn/adforn.sty
