Michael,
That didn't work either. Bought the font, downloaded, and put it in: /Library/Fonts
The file is: /Library/Fonts/ZapfDingbatsStd.otf
This file:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[
web=designiv,
exerquiz
]{aeb_pro}
\begin{document}
Hello.
\end{document}
Produces: http://msemac.redwoods.edu/~darnold/junk/junk.ps
But dropping junk.ps on Distiller produces the exact same error:
Distilling: junk.ps
Start Time: Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 12:51 PM
Source: /Users/darnold/Documents/PreAlgText/trunk/story/junk.ps
Destination: /Users/darnold/Documents/PreAlgText/trunk/story/junk.pdf
Adobe PDF Settings: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings/Standard.joboptions
%%[ Warning: ZapfDingbats not found, using Font Substitution. Font cannot be embedded. ]%%
Distill Time: 1 seconds (00:00:01)
**** End of Job ****
I tried going into the junk.ps file and changing three occurrences of ZapfDingbats to ZapfDingbatsStd. Then I dropped the junk.ps on the Distiller and the error message went away, but when I opened the junk.pdf in Acrobat and checked the properties, there were no ZapfDingbats or ZapfDingbatsStd fonts listed. Don, is there something I can add to the source file above to test this idea? Maybe get ZapfDingbats to show up in Document Properties in Acrobat?
I also tried renaming the file from /Library/Fonts/ZapfDingbatsStd.otf to /Library/Fonts/ZapfDingbats.otf and restarting my system, but dropping the resulting junk.ps on Distiller produce the exact same error as seen above.
Why can't I get this to work?
David.
