Then you need to switch to use the urw++ clones of Zapf Dingbats,  
uzdr. This is the default. Maybe a problem exists whether Karl Berry  
(kb) or other font names are used.

Another option is to try conversion with Ghostscript's ps2pdf, with  
dvips or dvipdfm(x), or Apple's pstopdf. You could also try 'open  
<file name.ps>'...
