At the beginning of my time on the Mac, I tried RsyncX.  I remember it as about the middle of the road as far as the steepness of its learning curve.  There's a reasonable step-by-step guide to its use at http://www.egg-tech.com/mac_backup.

However, the project seems to be dead.  Does anyone know if it lives on in some form?  Did it perhaps *become* arRsync?  (Their front page at http://arrsync.sourceforge.net is quite sparse!)
