[OS X TeX] makebst in TeX Live 2009

How are you invoking it or searching for it?  `kpsewhich makebst` returns
/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/tex/latex/custom-bib/makebst.tex on my
system.  Additionally, locate(1) finds the following files named makebst:

/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/doc/latex/custom-bib/makebst.pdf
/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/source/latex/custom-bib/makebst.drv
/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/source/latex/custom-bib/makebst.dtx
/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/source/latex/custom-bib/makebst.ins
/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/tex/latex/custom-bib/makebst.tex
