[OS X TeX] working with TeXshop...

Folks,

Sr Sur sent his source files to me privately. He was working with a project, but didn't realize that he needed to add

	% !TEX root =  

statements to the top of each included chapter file. After he made that addition, syncTeX started working in
both directions.
