Alain,

There might be a more comfortable solution: Open the script in AppleScript Editor and copy it as a Macro in TS.

When you want to copy a line without the carriage return, place the cursor in the line and call the script. The clipboard will then contain the line without the carriage return and can be pasted as usual.
