Howdy,

I had installed the latest version (1.91) in /usr/local/bin/. I think the problem is that the file had a quarantine xattr set and the OS wasn't allowing me to run it directly. I'm not sure what the PATH is set to when TeXshop runs an engine (I don't set it in any of my engines and they work) but I'd guess the /usr/texbn/version was being used there.

I've removed the updated version and am now just using the older 1.88 version that comes with TL.
