I think it's time to end this thread.

First, because it has long ago ceased to have anything to do with TeX  
on the Mac. Second, because there may be authors out there who have  
spent more than 11,000 hours over 8 years creating textbooks for a  
major publisher that are probably not as inexpensive as the  
participants in this thread would like them to be.
