...although I believe the license for Adobe's font packs only permits
their use with those specific Adobe software products; and I wouldn't
be surprised if something similar applies to the fonts included with
Windows.
IANAL ..... just a reminder that font licenses may be quite specific
about what you are allowed to do. Just because a font is on your hard
disk does not necessarily mean you have unrestricted rights to use it
in whatever way you wish.
The fonts shipped with TeX Live are, of course, "free software" so
there should be no licensing issues there.
