[OS X TeX] a problem with MacTex 2009

I recently switched to Mac OS and installed MacTex 2009 in my iMac. When I tried to compile
a latex source (that used to be OK with MikTex in Windows), I got the following error message:

If I hide the line 1.8, it'll start to complain about further lines on usepackage. Does anyone get an idea
what is the problem?

Thanks,
Shengchao
