[OS X TeX] problem with \caption in Mactex 2009 [SOLVED]

I have obtained a steady solution.

Using the "subfigure" package instead of "subfig", and using either  
the ccpation, or the caption2 package, instead of caption, gets rid of  
conflicts and works just fine.
To avoid being "obsolete", I would keep ccpation instead of caption2.
