Yes, there is perhaps a naming problem, but all the good names are 
taken!  The xl2latex.bas is indeed a VB script. I haven't posted my 
script to CTAN yet; I was posting it here for comments and informal 
testing. You can get a copy here on my web page:

As noted in another message, it's not as fancy as the VB script; but 
it still saves quite a bit of messing around either in Excel or in 
your favourite LaTeX editor, and is fully compatible with Office 2008.
